Ex-SKID ROW/SAIGON KICK Drummer Launches 'Sex, Stand Up, And Rock & Roll' Radio Show

September 19, 2008

"Sex, Standup and Rock & Roll Radio" is a new online show hosted by Phil Varone and his sexy co-host Yvette Marie. Phil, who is best known for drumming with bands SAIGON KICK and SKID ROW, brings his unique and controversial rock and roll experience to the airwaves with his no-holds-barred show. Yvette, an accomplished artist, photographer and model featured in numerous publications, lends a smart, creative and perverted view to the show's taboo topics. Recent guests have included Mo Collins, Mia Tyler, Gretchen Bonaduce, Mary Carey, Josh Wolf, Bryan Callen, and many more. The show can be heard daily at 9:00 p.m. PST on www.latalkradio.com.

Shortly after leaving the music business in 2004, Phil was featured in the controversial film "Waking Up Dead" (see trailer below),which chronicled his turbulent and out of control lifestyle in the music business. The film received worldwide distribution and was greeted by raving reviews. In 2006, Phil created and starred in his "Sex, Standup and Rock & Roll" show at the Improv in Hollywood, California. The show quickly became a huge hit with sold-out shows, celebrity guests and positive reviews. With the success of the live show, it was time to move it to the airwaves, thus the birth of the radio show.
